Pay-As-You-Go

We have introduced a ‘Pay-As-You-Go’ (PAYG) pricing model in response to the market conditions. More details on the specifics are here: PAYG. The motivation for this was to reduce the barriers to purchase and leverage the edgeBOX. We believe that much that the economic downturn is of legitimate concern to all of us, it also provides an unprecedented opportunity to develop a competitive advantage.

The edgeBOX can not only cut on-going costs, but it can now be done at very minimal investment. When we tested this idea with some of our customers, we had an overwhelmingly positive response. Naturally, since it offers very tangible benefits to the end user (cost savings) but in fact does so while augmenting the voice and data capabilities, and minimizing the impact on cash flow. The trade-in scheme also provides a generous credit which can be used to grow – towards a higher model edgeBOX.

We thought through the customer life cycle of purchasing, operating and upgrading, and reduced the cost impact at every point in this cycle. We would love to hear from you on what you think about this deal?
